Why does Bettman like the shootout so much?
Well Lisa, Uncle Gary likes the shootout for many reasons. First of all, there are no more ties. Do you remember how much Gordie Howe used to complain about ties? All he ever did was whine about them. Now he has his wish. The shootout also provides all the offense a player could want without any of that pesky defense to get in the way.
And of course, Uncle Gary loves that hot man on man action.
