I hate being proven right.

But it happens all the time. *sigh*

I've written repeatedly how much I despise the rule about instigating in the last five minutes, and how it gives players room to make dirty hits. It's now surpassed my hatred of the shootout. Congrats NHL. Sure enough last night, with under 5 minutes left, Colton Orr makes a blatant dirty run at Alexander Ovechkin. Shoane Morrisonn goes over to talk to him about it. The end result is a Rangers Power Play, which is a joke in and of itself. Of course, Morrisonn will be suspended, because he got the instigator. Orr will be given a ticker tape parade. The NHL really tries my patience some days. It's no wonder the league doesn't have any fans. I'm as dedicated as they get, and I'm this close to giving up on the NHL.

No you're noooooooot. Then again, a bunch more shit games from the Caps, and maybe you will be.

Then again (again), you didn't give up on them last year.

Then again (again again), you didn't have the expectations that you have now, last year.
