Because you really shouldn't be touching yourself at a game anyways . . .

According to Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post, the Caps will not have cheergirls at the games this upcoming season, but it is not out of the question for the '08-'09 season. Dan's quoted Caps PR rep (and one of this blogger's best friends) Nate Ewell as saying,
"It's something that we've looked at and we're still looking at. Obviously it's something that creates strong feelings, pro and con, so we're still trying to evaluate whether it would be a positive thing for our fans in the long run. We weren't confident at this point that it was a good idea. If we do it, we're going to do it right."


So the Caps remain the only team in the division without ice babes. Take that for what you will.

Hahahaha! I was on the phone with a former employee named "Tim Ewell" as I typed that, so that should explain that one. Apologies to Nate Ewell.
